It is the 20th largest city in Colorado and the 820th largest city in the United States. Littleton is currently growing at a rate of 0.11% annually and its population has increased by 15.42% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 41,737 in 2010. Littleton reached its highest population of 48,171 and 2021.

If you end up living in Littleton, Colorado, there are lots of events you can take part in and beautiful places that you should visit. But if you have no clue what to do or where to go, nevermind, I’ve got you covered. And in this video, I’ll show you eight of the best things you can do living in Littleton, Colorado. Visit the Littleton museum, where the best place she could go to learn all there is to know about the history of this city. That’s right, it’s this museum. And because Littleton is a town with a rich cultural history, visiting the Littleton museum is a must do for every Littleton visitor. The museum hosts several beautiful galleries, showcasing the city’s past, present and future.

You’d also be treated to several interesting and interactive exhibits at this museum. So if you are one of those, who loves natural breathtaking and scenic views, you’ll definitely love this place. Stored in Littleton museum is a very rich history that dates all the way back to prehistoric times. So there will be lots of fun facts and poignant stories to learn about Littleton at this museum. And if you’re coming along with your kids, you don’t have to worry about them being bored to sleep by all the historical details on show at the museum. Instead, they’ll be ushered to a special children’s gallery equipped with fun exhibits that are custom made for kids. With your children engaged in the children’s gallery, You could also treat yourself to some high end art at the fine arts gallery, where lots of local art and photography are displayed. Chatfield State Park is a lovely Colorado state park offering a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities throughout the year.

This park, which is located within little tints, beautiful Rocky mountain foothills is a prime spot for boaters and water sport enthusiasts of all types. From canoelists to sailors and water skiers. Now a floating restaurant and marina are offered for visitors along with boat rentals of all kinds. Anglers can fish for trout, bass, and channel catfish, while hikers and bikers can enjoy more than 26 miles of trails throughout the park’s trail system. Other popular activities include horseback riding, hot air ballooning, ice fishing, and snowshoeing. Now there are 197 single family campsites available for overnight stay along with 10 reservable group camp sites. And one thing to note about this park, is water is very limited in our state, so you must get here early because this park fills up fast. But this is a must see attraction here in the Littleton, Colorado area. Number six on the list of best things to do in Littleton, Colorado, Deer Creek Canyon.

This is one of my favorite areas. Deer Creek Canyon Park is an expansive public park in Littleton, set within beautiful Deer Creek Canyon, showcasing rolling Hills and habitats of Bears, Cougar, and Elk. This park is also home to several hiking and equestrian trails, including the popular hiking metal art trail, which spans 1.6 miles through gentle sloping terrain, making it a great spot for Novice hikers, and children and older adults with disability concerns. Plymouth Creek Trail is home to its namesake Creek and the Wall, a steep Rocky terrain area that is popular spot for all of us mountain bikers looking for a challenge. Bikers can also use the two and a half mile Red Mesa loop along with the homesteader and Golden Eagle Trails. Visitors should note that rattlesnakes are common within the region and should exercise appropriate caution. Ample public parking is offered to visitors, and you should know if you are coming out to this park, this park fills up quite full during the week and the weekend, especially. So make sure you get here early and enjoy this fabulous park.

Number five on the list of best things to do in the Littleton Colorado area, Roxboro State Park. Roxboro State Park is a must see destination for any visitor in Littleton. You can spend an entire day, taken in the stunning landscape. This 3300 acre property is a national natural landmark, and it is also home to prominent 300 million year old red sandstone rock formations, which is a major attraction at the park. At Roxboro State Park are six hiking trails. While hiking on these trails, you will be greeted by some notable archeological sites and wildlife. This includes hundreds of bird species, black bears, and coyotes. So if you’re in the Littleton Colorado area, make sure you take in this great state park while you’re here.

Number four on the list of things to do in Littleton, Colorado, Robert Clement Park. Yes, here is another park on our list. And if you find yourself in Littleton and you want to have some outdoor fun, then Robert Clement Park is where you should visit. This is the place where visitors and locals alike come to have outdoor fun while using numerous available facilities at the park to enjoy outdoor adventures. Look out for the tennis courts, the skating park, batting cages, volleyball courts, and softball fields, which are perfect for sports lovers. And if you’re up for some hiking, there is a 1.4 mile nature trail that takes you through a pretty and natural expansive land. In warmer weather, kids will love to enjoy the splash part and the two playgrounds specifically designed for them. Also, if you’re up for fishing, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice fishing time at the Johnston Reservoir. So if you get the chance, make sure that you check out this great park in the Littleton Colorado area.

The number three on the best places to visit in Littleton, Colorado, we have Breckenridge Brewery. Now Breckenridge Brewery is Colorado’s third oldest craft brewery open to the public in 1990 by founder Richard Squire at a location in Breckenridge. Now since 2015, the company has been headquartered in Littleton offering public tap room and touring locations at both of its Littleton and Breckenridge locations

Year round and seasonal brews are distributed to more than 35 states, including the company’s signature, Vanilla Porter, Avalanche Amber Ale, Mango Mosaic Pale Ale, Hop Peak IPA, and Oatmeal Stout. Now visitors can purchase pints or to go growlers at the brewery’s Littleton location and enjoy delicious brew pub fair at the brewery’s restaurant, or they can embark on a 90 minute brewery tour offered five days a week. So again, if you’re in the Littleton area, don’t forget to check out this great brewery.

And number two on the list of best things to do in Littleton, we have the Littleton Hudson Gardens. This outdoor amphitheater is more than just an amphitheater. First, this property has 30 acres of well tended, beautiful landscape that already attracts a lot of people. But, there is more. In the summer, The Hudson gardens serve as a concert venue with artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Chris Isaak that have all graced the stage here. This is also the venue for the traditional Christmas light extravaganza, that takes place in Littleton during the winter holidays. Now in the fall, the Hudson gardens plays host to the annual brew and beer festival, which features over 25 local breweries. These events unfortunately had been canceled this year with the COVID, but we sure look forward to the return of them. And when you’re in this area, do not miss out on checking this great place out.

And the number one thing to do in the Littleton Colorado area is experience Cafe Terracotta. Cafe Terracotta is a unique upscale dining experience in Littleton offering breakfast and lunch service seven days a week and dinner menus, Monday through Saturdays. The restaurant is based around the ideas of creativity, thoughtfulness, and familiarity, featuring an open-plan kitchen meant to emphasize transparency during the cooking process and engage dinners with cooking staff. The classic breakfast offerings include several varieties of eggs Benedict along with Mexican influence entrée’s such as breakfast burritos and Huevos rancheros. Well, casual lunch menu’s features favorite sandwiches and wraps such as Reuben club sandwiches. The elegant dinner entrée’s include Chicken Wellington, grilled Irish Salmon, and my favorite, the braised short ribs accompanied by an extensive California and your European wine list. Four-course tasting menus are available at special occasions throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

So if you make it to Littleton, Colorado, the must stop that you should do is come check out Cafe Terracotta. The historical city of Littleton, Colorado will lead you with awesome panoramic views and lots of memories that will stay with you forever, provided you visit any or all of the places I have mentioned on this list.
