And first off, what I want to go into is what about the size of Littleton? The population of Littleton is around 46,000 people, a 10.9% rise since 2020. Now there are pros and cons of the population of Littleton. The pros are businesses such as shops, breweries, and restaurants thrive on the people in the area. Now, the cons with the population, it’s crowded and usually you’ll have to wait to get a seat at your favorite place, especially on the weekends. The other pros about the population in Littleton, Colorado, there are plenty of these shops and restaurant, micro breweries to choose from but the other con with all this, the traffic is busy and you may just want to take an Uber to Downtown Littleton. Or if you live close enough, you can ride your bike.
The next pro of living in Littleton, you are so close to the foot foothills with access to Chatfield Reservoir, numerous hiking and biking trails. And you have easy access to the highways to go up the mountains or Downtown Denver. The cons again, hits the traffic. If you want to go skiing for instance, for a day, you should plan to leave early. And I mean, sometimes early isn’t enough. The same could be said for the hiking and biking trails in the area. And especially on the weekends, you better get to the trail heads early or it will get crowded fast. Living in Littleton, Colorado comes great weather too. Yes, another pro of living in Littleton, Colorado is our weather. We get all four seasons and the only con with this is we don’t get a lot of spring or fall season, but we do get on an average 246 days of sunshine.
So, a huge pro to some. And the only other con, we don’t get as much precipitation and that makes the area prone to chances of wildfires. Now, since Littleton, Colorado is consistently ranked is one of the best places to live in the country, that tends to drive up the home prices too. The pros and cons of living here are the median home prices around 627,000. And obviously if you own a home here, you are happy with that. But if you are purchasing a home here, not so much. The cost of living in Littleton is 8% higher than the national average and home appreciation was 17.1% in the last 12 months. The pros with all this, you are buying a home in a desired and appreciating area. So, there you have it. Some of the pros and cons of living in Littleton, Colorado. As you can see, we have solid pros here and wow, I had to really reach to come up with any cons but we do have a few, either way, the pros offset the cons as really if you go back and watch this video again.
